"Imperial Grunts"

This book was on Emperor Bush's reading list in 2005, when it was encouraged to acknowledge the American Empire's existence: Imperial Grunts, by Robert D. Kaplan

And let's not forget this:
"We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality - judiciously, as you will - we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." - A senior advisor to Emperor Bush, as quoted by Ron Suskind of the New York Times.
Now, "Empire" is a frame non grata because it puts everything into perspective, and, of course, because the Empire doesn't control the narrative anymore. Use the frame liberally.
